Description
Bowl Made of Polish Marble – Three-Layer Construction
A large bowl made from three layers of Polish marble, combining the strength of stone with subtle, artistic craftsmanship. The varied layers of marble with different thicknesses – 2 cm (base), 1 cm (middle element), and 3 cm (milled top) – create a cohesive yet dynamic structure, bringing harmony and calm to any space.
Design & History
Designed by Agata and Tomasz Knorowski, the form of the bowl draws inspiration from the features of post-war Polish socialist realism architecture, which emphasized strength and stability through its austerity and simplicity. In this piece, the same aesthetic merges with the natural qualities of the stone, revealing its secrets through hidden veins and textures.
Materials & Craftsmanship
-
Base & Top: Graphite-white marble with interesting, varied veining – 2 cm thick (base) and 3 cm thick (milled top), introducing a distinct yet elegant dynamic.
-
Middle Element: Sand-colored marble, contrasting with the darker elements, illuminating the whole piece and adding lightness.
Each layer is carefully crafted, and the milled top is made with great attention to detail, allowing the stone's full depth and natural character to be revealed.
Functionality
The bowl works perfectly as a central decorative element, ideal for displaying fruits, flowers, or as an interior decoration piece. Its form becomes the focal point in any room, while the weight of the stone brings calm and a sense of stability to the space.
