Clover candleholder calacatta paonazzo 4
This candlestick is made of Italian calacatta paonazzo marble. Calacatta marble comes from quarries located in the Apuan Mountains of Carrara, Italy. The owner of the Aria Stone Gallery, Vinny Tavares, has been traveling for 10 years to the Carrara region of Tuscany in Italy - the land of Calacatta marble. Tavares explains: “Most people don't realize that Calacatta marble doesn't come from one particular mountain or quarry. The Carrara region of Italy has a vast mountain range where each quarry produces a variety of white marbles such as Bianco Carrara, Goiai, Venatino, Statuario and finally Calacatta marble. All these materials are white marble with more or less the same geological formation but different veins. "
