Azul Macaubas is a unique blue, Brazilian quartzite
with cream and grayish fragments. In addition to quartz, Azul Macaubas contains about 15% dumortierite (a blue mineral from the silicate group)
and therefore Azul Macaubas is defined as dumortierite quartzite. It also contains kyanite, a dark blue mineral from the aluminosilicate group. It is to this unique combination of minerals that Azul Macaubas owes its deep, blue color.
The Azul macaubas stone is mined only in Brazil. Its deposits are located in the sunny, mountainous regions of Macaubas. One of the most important features of quartzite, apart from the mesmerizing color of this stone, is its high hardness and resistance to stains and scratches.
Azul Macaubas is called a stone of peace and solace. Some believe that thanks to its unique combination of minerals, it promotes meditation and relaxation. It is said to bring peace, support spiritual development and improve concentration.
