NEW COLLECTION
Tondo Collection
The circle is the only geometric figure found in nature. This is also the shape that small blocks of stone - pebbles shaped by masses of water - strive to achieve.
“The Circle is a synthesis of the greatest oppositions. It combines concentricity and eccentricity in one form and in balance.”
Wassily Kandinsky
When working with stone, we look for forms that will best bring out its properties. The new collection is the result of reduction, simplification of shapes and, at the same time, fascination with the mosaic combination of specific stone colors.
The field of art that has always influenced me the most is painting. The "Tondo" collection refers to the works of Sonia Delaunay - a French painter from the beginning of the 20th century, a costume and fabric designer, co-creator of simultanism, an abstractionist who, through graphic, abstract forms and saturated, contrasting colours, presented movement, emotions and the pulsating rhythm of everyday life.
